AI has become the backbone of Dubai’s digital future, supported by the Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI (DUB.AI). The strategy promotes citywide AI adoption in public services, transportation, health systems, logistics, energy, and advanced autonomous technologies. It also sets guidelines for ethical AI deployment and responsible innovation across all government entities.

Government AI implementation is advancing rapidly. RTA’s Mahboub chatbot has fully transitioned to generative AI, rising from 30% to 100% automated intelligence in just one year. Similarly, Digital Dubai has introduced a unified AI policy to ensure consistent, secure, and transparent AI operations across all departments, boosting trust and service reliability.

AI integration extends into robotics, cybernetic avatars, smart mobility, IoT-powered systems, and immersive technologies like VR and AR. These advancements support Dubai’s transition toward predictive, automated, and interactive city experiences – reducing friction in public services and enhancing operational efficiency across critical sectors.

Public acceptance of advanced AI is also high. A large-scale 2025 study reports strong public openness to AI-powered robotic systems, especially in malls, airports, museums, and transport hubs. Residents most prefer information-assistance robots, showing that Dubai’s society is ready for next-generation AI interactions in everyday life.
